With the ups and downs of life, I continue to realize how little I know and how much God is in control of my life. Just when I think that I have an idea of what is going on in life, there is another bend in the road and I am thrown into confusion. Yet, this is somewhat the purpose of a Christian life. We know that there are going to be rough times in life, though those times are there so that we lean more upon our Creator and trusting Him with our lives and our futures. Lord, not mine, but Your will be done.
The tractor has been coming along well. Got it started this past Friday. I was pretty excited to hear it start!!! Got a wheel seal and brakes left to do and then I will be done. Words cannot express how excited I am to get it home and start cutting hay with it. Considering half way through the project I was wondering if I would ever get it going properly again or not, haha!
Hay is ready to cut, has been ready for a couple of weeks now. But with my main hay tractor in the shop, it hasn't been cut yet. Picked up some more ground this year, which I am pretty excited about. I guess it pays off cutting what you have neatly, other people notice it and want you to cut other meadows that they have. :) I thoroghly enjoy haying and am excited to start cutting.
Calving will hopefully be done sometime this week. One left to go and with the crazy weather, I am sure that the cow will come in soon. Cows have been on pasture for about a week now. They are really enjoying better than last years hay, who would have thought? Haha! It is a lot of fun to watch the calves run and play in the pasture. It puts a smile on my face everytime!!
The trip to Canada for Johnathon and Amber's wedding was nothing short of an adventure. First time I have ever flown and flight gets changed, luggage gets lost, and I finally get out of the country!! Haha! My origian flight got over booked, so I got transfered to a direct flight To Calgary, AB. But my luggage didn't take the same path I did. I never did receive my luggage with in Alberta. Thanks to Johnathon, I borrowed some extra T-shirts to get by and the wedding tux served as appropriate church attire. :) Costums was a breeze and wonder why so many people worry about them. I flew back this past Monday and Finally received my luggage at 1:00am Wednesday morning. And these airlines call themselves professionals? I am not convinced. Needless to say, I don't know if I am going to fly any where in the nead future. Though I received a hefty travel voucher when my flight was switched. So, we'll see what happens.
Sorry to those of who that check this and see that I haven't updated it for a while. Life is busy now with the summer months on hand. I'll try and do my best to check in when I can and give updates of what is happening!
