Time Goes On

Well, a lot has happened over the last 36 hours, including a night in the hospital last night. Yesterday after work, I went into urgent care at the local medical clinic to get some bleeding and bruising checked out. After some blood work, I was informed that I would be staying in the hospital for at least the night. I almost laughed when I was told that because I have been dealing with this for the last couple weeks. I have been diagnosed with ITP. Basically what it is, is that I have random bleeding and bruising. What causes it is a lack of platelets in my blood stream. What these platelets do is help the blood clot. As of this morning I was at 4,ooo platelet count, where a normal person is above 150, 000 count. Needless to say I cannot do anything for fear of bumping and bruising myself worse. For those that know me well, it is going to be a challenge the next few days to just sit around and not be able to be out and about. Friday I head back in for more lab work to see if the medications that I am on are helping to increase the platelet count. I am not really in any pain at all. I am just confused and frustrated about it all. Prayers are appreciated. :)

Blessings
