Busy Busy

Well, I haven't written much lately. So, since I have some time here, I thought that I would say a few words in an update out here.
Life has been pretty crazy lately, with calving in full swing, trying to figure out how to redo some tile line, dealing with the dry weather, and beginning a relationship. It's been quite a ride.
Calving is going well so far. As of last night, we have had seven cows calve in and giving us eight calves. Yep, had a nice set of twins about a week ago. All the cows and calves are doing well for the most part. Had two breech calves so far this year. One the vet pulled and the other I pulled last night. It isn't very fun dealing with complications like that, but it makes me feel blessed for the trouble free years that we have had in the past. Got another cow that looks like it is going to start calving anytime now, hence why I am not working and in the house on the computer. :)
We have finally got the lake in the pasture draining, hopefully in the next day or two, all of the water will be drained out. Then we will be able to start digging in the new tile line. So, hopefully, next year we won't have to deal with the lake affect again!
We haven't seen any kind of moisture for over two weeks. Plus it has been very windy here lately, so there are starting to be dust storms, which is not cool! They are saying that there is a cance of rain today and then the next few days. I am just praying for rain to come! I don't know when the last time I saw it this dry in May. Most of the corn is up in the area and the beans are coming through as well. Rain would be really timely about now.
I feel like the luckiest guy in the world right now. About three weeks ago I came in contact with someone and well, the rest in kinda history!! :) I never, never thought that this would happen, but I am so glad that it did!! Been dating for a little over a week now, but it seems like it has been longer than that. Sarah, you rock my world!!!!
The tractor is coming along pretty well. Haven't had a lot of time to work on it lately. Mounted the engine block back on the frame yesterday. Hopefully, I'll be able to be done with it within a week.

Blessings
